Les Misérables The Arena Spectacular

Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Boublil and Schönberg’s LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR arrives in Melbourne this May.

As the world’s longest-running musical enters its 40th revolutionary year, this spectacular production features an extraordinary and exciting new design specifically created for larger venues, with a cast and orchestra of over 65.

Important Event Information
  • There are several options for your journey to Rod Laver Arena:
    • Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions.
    • Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking as drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event. 
      • Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek. We strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. 
  • To ensure a smooth entry into the venue, download your tickets to your digital wallet before arriving.
  • Bags must be A4 size or smaller, and larger bags are not permitted.
  • Cloaking is available via the Information Desk (Gate 4) or Show Court 3. Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking.
  • All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.
  • If you have purchased a VIP package, the event promoter will be in contact with details regarding your experience.

Set the stage for an incredible evening with special pre-show dining before Les Misérables at Rod Laver Arena.

Railyards Restaurant

Make it a night to remember with a two or three-course prix fixe menu at Railyards. The French bistro-inspired menu features a selection of starters, your choice of French classic mains, and accompanying side dishes. Finish with an optional Les Misérables pastry to enjoy at your seat during the show. Dietary options are available to cater for all preferences.

Available for all Les Misérables shows at Rod Laver Arena. To access Railyards, take the escalator to Level 3.

Bookings are recommended, and walk-ins subject to availability.

Chef’s Table

Reserve one of just twenty coveted seats for an intimate dining experience hosted by the master of French cuisine and Bocuse d’Or finalist, Chef Alex McIntosh. Perfectly timed before the show, Chef Alex will take you on a culinary journey through France with seven curated courses.

Seen by over 130 million people worldwide in 53 countries and 22 languages, Les Misérables is undisputedly one of the world’s most popular musicals.

The Australian production will feature a company of famous Les Mis stars and brilliant new ones led by Alfie Boe and Killian Donnelly sharing the role of Jean Valjean and Michael Ball and Bradley Jaden sharing the role of Javert. Joining them are Matt Lucas and Marina Prior as The Thénardiers, Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine, Jac Yarrow as Marius, Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette and James D. Gish as Enjolras.

Victor Hugo’s classic tale is an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. With a magnificent score of iconic songs, this epic and uplifting story is undisputedly one of the world’s favourite musicals.
