Mandopop legend David Tao brings his Soul Power II World Tour to Rod Laver Arena this October.

First staged more than two decades ago, Soul Power has become one of David’s most iconic live experiences – a celebration of music, storytelling, and the bond between artist and audience. Reimagined for a new era, Soul Power II fuses the warmth and authenticity of its original spirit with fresh arrangements, new songs, and moments that bring fans closer than ever.

With his soulful voice, genre-blending style, and renowned musicianship, David will guide audiences through reimagined classics, long-requested favourites, and intimate new performances – all delivered with the honesty, energy, and artistry that define his career.

Important Event Information

There are several options for your journey to Rod Laver Arena:
- Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions.
- Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking as drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.
  - Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek. We strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. 
To ensure a smooth entry into the venue, download your tickets to your digital wallet before arriving.
Bags must be A4 size or smaller, and larger bags are not permitted.
Cloaking is available via the Information Desk (Gate 4) or Show Court 3. Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking.
All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.

David Tao

David Tao is a Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter, producer and music pioneer, widely recognised for bringing R&B and soul influences into Mandarin pop. Rising to prominence in the late 1990s, Tao has earned a reputation as one of Mandopop’s most innovative voices, blending Western musical styles with Chinese lyrics to create a distinct and influential sound. His self-titled debut album in 1997 marked a turning point in the industry and set the stage for a career defined by creativity and originality.

Over the years, Tao has released a series of acclaimed albums, including Black Tangerine and The Great Leap, earning multiple Golden Melody Awards. Known for his smooth vocals, polished production and heartfelt songwriting, he continues to shape the evolution of contemporary Chinese music.
