Lorde, the stage name of New Zealand singer-songwriter Ella Yelich-O’Connor, is one of the most distinctive voices in modern music. She burst onto the global stage in 2013 with her breakout hit “Royals,” which topped charts around the world and earned her two GRAMMY Awards. Her debut album Pure Heroine showcased her knack for minimalist production, razor-sharp lyrics and a fresh perspective on youth and fame, establishing her as a generational talent at just 16.
Across her acclaimed discography, including the ambitious Melodrama and sun-soaked Solar Power, Lorde has continued to evolve her sound while staying true to her introspective and poetic style. Celebrated for her authenticity and artistic vision, she remains a fearless innovator who connects deeply with audiences through her music and live performances.
