Childish Gambino is set to take the global stage once again with The New World Tour.
The long-awaited Australia and New Zealand leg, which includes Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday 7 February 2025, follows extensive North American, European and UK dates.
This will be Childish Gambino’s first visit down under since 2019. Amaarae is confirmed as direct support for Australia and New Zealand.

Important Event Information
- There are several options for your journey to Rod Laver Arena:
- Public transport is the quickest and easiest option. Before you attend, plan ahead and allow extra travel time for any major disruptions.
- Parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard). We strongly recommend pre-booking; drive-up spaces are subject to availability. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.
- Note: Accessible parking must be pre-booked via Ticketek.
- To ensure a smooth entry into the venue, download your tickets to your Digital Wallet.
- Bags must be A4 size or smaller. Larger bags are not permitted.
- Cloaking is available via the Information Desk (Gate 4) or Show Court 3. Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking.
- All retail outlets are cashless. Any transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.

Childish Gambino
Childish Gambino is the alter ego of multi-hyphenate American entertainer Donald Glover, who is also known for acting roles on television shows like Community and the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning Atlanta, as well as the film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
As Childish Gambino, Glover refined his off-kilter brand of hip-hop on his 2013 breakthrough album Because the Internet, before making a sharp turn toward R&B-inspired funk, which won him a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance in 2017 for the single “Redbone.” In 2018, his politically charged song “This Is America” debuted at number one atop the Billboard Hot 100, buoyed by a viral music video that addressed gun violence and racial injustice.
The success of those two projects launched him into a creative burst, which led to the release of his genre-defying, mind-bending 3.15.20 album in 2020.
